How to Find Events in the Deaf Community
Do you want to get involved in the Deaf community and attend events for the d/Deaf and hard of hearing? Start with your local National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and Hearing Loss Association of America(HLAA) chapters.
Go to the National Association of the Deaf website and find your state association.
Find events and links to statewide resources.
Find your nearest chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America.
My state, Florida, has its own webpage and Facebook page with events.There are also nearby chapters with monthly meetings and many events, educational and social. For example, it is through this organization that I take speech-reading courses.
