Religious Services for the Deaf

When I went deaf, I sat in church, listening to nothing.  There were no closed-captioned or ASL interpreters.  I did not know that services are offered online in ASL and close-captioned.  


You don’t have to miss out on your worship service because you are deaf or hard-of hearing.  Many congregations offer services in ASL or captioned services. To find a religious service in your denomination, simply Google “Deaf Services” and your denomination. Also, check out the sites listed on


Also, encourage your local congregation to offer their services to the d/deaf and hard of hearing. Captioning also helps hearing people retain information.  It is good for all of us!
