You can take free American Sign language classes at Laman Library this spring | Arkansas Times
If you’ve always wanted to learn American Sign Language, here’s your chance. The North Little Rock Public Library System is offering two free 8-week American Sign Language (ASL) classes at the William F. Laman Library, taught by instructor Alosha Cerney and his interpreter Cora Majan.
The first class, which meets every Thursday from 4-5 p.m., teaches students the basics of sign language. The second (concurrent) course, ASL 2, complements the knowledge gained in ASL 1 and meets directly afterward — every Thursday from 5-6 p.m. Both classes begin April 20 and run through June 8. Just show up, organizers say; no registration is required.
